At the start of January 2011 I launched a challenge for 10 people to take on their lives by committing to a few simple new lifestyle rituals; daily movement, daily nutrition and supplementation, increased water and adequate rest.
Two weeks down the road the results are AMAZING.

I have been sleep depraved for days now and completely felt the effects of that yesterday..,,I did get a good nap today and this journey looks brighter....I planning on 9 hours of sleep tonight and looking forward to beginning my day w/my 1st round of P90X Yoga....

Getting better at the slim in 6 workout. Decided to start with the 6 day express. It's OK as long as I can stay away from other people who are not doing it. Having a hard time resisting the social pressure to experience eating as a form of entertainment. But that awareness is a start.
Paul Chastain Dr. says it's not pneumonia, but close. She says just rest for the next 2 days. Haven't worked worked out out at all for several days, but eating right. Lost 13 lbs since Christmas. Would only be 11, but I got a new scale that weighs 2 lbs lighter than the old one. The new one is much better. Dr Noticed that my edema was gone and BP was in the normal range. She asked me if I'd lost weight and I proudly said yes.
I want to congratulate Shelley who has lost 5 lbs over the last 2 weeks WHILE dealing with a bum knee and 3 sick days!
Lost 2 pounds this week. So excited!!
My weight loss this week was 3.5 pounds!!!
The Insanity
As a society we have grossly undervalued caring for our physical bodies and made striving for more money, bigger homes, faster anything, and higher status more important. It is clear the corporate and societal culture we have created is not conducive to health and wellbeing. Take a look around. Sixty percent of our society is now overweight or obese. We have created a culture where the generation of children being raised is not expected to outlive their parents. We have passed down our culture of insanity to our children.
I want to ask you to answer the following questions for your self:
- Are you embarrassed to put on a bathing suit?
- Do you get winded easily doing simple tasks like bringing in groceries or climbing a flight of stairs?
- Is your health, fitness and/or self image negatively effecting your sex life?
- If your current level of health and fitness preventing you from playing with your kids or grandkids in the way you’d really like?
- Has your doctor notified you that you need to loose weight and exercise in order to improve a current health condition?
If you answered “YES” to any of these questions you are exactly who I am looking to help with this Wellness Challenge

As a collective we’ve bought in to the idea that if we put in more hours, work harder, rest less, we will some how get ahead and be happier with our lives. This simply not true. When we neglect our physical needs for energy expenditure, recovery and nutrition we break down, we become weak, depressed and sick. We turn to our medical professionals to fix us, to get us back on the playing field of corporate / societal insanity. The “FIX-es” that are prescribed are usually band-aids that mask the symptoms and ignore the root causes of the dis-sease we are feeling. The root causes of the dis-eases are based on lifestyle habits and behaviors, the unconscious rituals we have allowed ourselves to fall into in our effort for more, bigger, faster.
The unconsciousness must END if we are to create health and wellbeing for ourselves.
We can not change something we are unaware of. This journey I am offering is very much about becoming aware.
We must become aware of the habits and behaviors we are engaged in. We must start noticing the impact of our current habits and behaviors on our wellbeing.
Once we become aware, only then can we make an empowered choice to move toward transformation. Notice I wrote transformation, NOT change. Change implies that at some point we will be able to go back to the way it was. With transformation there is no going back. A butterfly will never again be a caterpillar.
The Plan
I am committed to reversing the trend of obesity, metabolic and cardiovascular disease one person at a time. I am taking on TEN new individuals that are committed to their health and fitness transformation. In doing so, I know that once the fire of transformation is burning brightly enough inside the persons I am working with that fire will spread and more and more people will be empowered to embark on their own journey to wellbeing.
When the group is full I will be accepting a waiting list for the next group.
There will NO CHARGE for my daily / weekly coaching support and guidance.
